Katie Bolka was more than just a friend to me. Growing up with her, from our days at Christ the King where we would chase butterflies around the field, to our wonderful times at Ursuline Academy where we thought we would always
have each other to turn to.
Together, we both grew up and learned more about the world we were living in, while facing the normal challenges of high school. Katie was the most unique and special person I've ever had the joy of knowing. She has definitely shaped my character and I would not be the person that I am today if she hadn't been a part of my life. She has impacted an uncountable number of people through her radiant life and spirit. She spread joy everywhere she went.
I know that I will
never laugh as hard I did whenever I was with Katie, but I am truly blessed
to have had her as a part of my life. Going through each day, I know that
she is still with me, because she is a part of me. I will always have
Katie to turn to as she is forever in my heart. I have an endless supply
of memories with her, but I can only imagine the person she would have
gone on to be and the talent and beauty she would have shared with the
world.
